Acting on public tip-offs, the team had stopped a Perodua Viva around 12.30pm along Jalan Mukah-Selangau for inspections.

Mukah OCPD DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said that the team found a plastic packet and a straw tube containing crystalline substance believed to be syabu, inside the vehicle.

“The drugs, weighing 0.37g, were seized as evidence.

“All three men, aged between 20 and 31, along with the drugs were taken to the police station for further action,” he said.

The suspects, who tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine, were remanded until Apr 24 to facilitate investigations.

Rizal said the case is being investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
