KUCHING: A joint blood donation drive will be held at Vivacity Megamall here, on Apr 27.
Organised by the Simpang Tiga Kenyalang Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin branch, and Diabetes Malaysia Sarawak branch, it will be held at the mall’s East Atrium from 10 am to 2 pm.
Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin branch said the main objective of the campaign is to prevent blood shortage at the Blood Bank, Sarawak General Hospital.
It said successful blood donors will receive goodies bags.
In addition to that, there will be free health screenings, including blood sugar tests, blood pressure checks, body mass index (BMI) assessments, and diabetes awareness education, which will be conducted by Diabetes Malaysia, Sarawak branch.
