SIBU: A youth claimed trial at the Sessions Court here today (May 20) to a felony charge of raping a 22-year old woman.

ding to the charge sheet, Flolarson, from Bintangor, allegedly raped the woman at a house in Jalan Teku at about 1am on April 25.
The offence is punishable under Section 376 (2) (g) of the Penal Code which provides for an imprisonment of not less than 10 years and not more than 30 years, as well as liable to whipping upon conviction.
Judge Marutin released the accused on cash bail of RM3,000 with one local surety.
He fixed the pre-trial case management on June 26.
