SARATOK: The Co-curriculum Carnival is considered a platform to highlight the talents of children in sports.
Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri thus praised the organisation of the carnival for schools in Saratok District.
“This is a medium that can provide early exposure to students about the potential of sports, with the hope that their talents can be polished,” he said while inaugurating the Co-curriculum Carnival jointly organised by SK Sungai Antu and SK Sungai Entebu.
“Who knows one day these Saratok children will be able to become athletes who are Sarawak’s and Malaysia’s hope for the world stage,” he said.
The carnival involved 16 schools, namely SK Mendas, SK Nanga Abu, SK Nanga Drau, SK Nanga Budu, SK Babang, SK Ulu Kabo, SK Ulu Budu, SK Klua, SK Nanga Assam, SK Praja, SK Orang Kaya Tanduk, SK Nanga Grenjang, SK Wong besi and SK Kabo Hilir.
