SIMUNJAN: A total of RM653,000 has been awarded to mosques and suraus here through the Minor Rural Project (MRP), distributed by its assemblyman Awla Dris.
The funding will benefit 55 mosques and 19 suraus, supporting their planned activities for the year.
During the grant handover ceremony, he said that RM463,000 was allocated to mosques, while suraus received RM190,000.
Batang Sadong MP, Rodiyah Sapiee, was also present at the event.
