ASAJAYA: Villagers of Kampung Sampun Kelili in Asajaya are assured that they will not be left behind in mainstream development.

Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said that current active plans include the widening of village roads, the installation of street lights leading to the village, and others.

“The proposals for widening the village roads in Kampung Sampun Kelili, Sampung Gerunggang, Sampun Tebun, and Sampun Baru will be brought to the next meeting of the Integrated Regional Samarahan Development Agency (IRSDA).

Abdul Karim who is also Asajaya assemblyman disclosed that the expansion projects for the Batang Samarahan and Batang Sadong bridges, amounting to RM500,000 are expected to begin soon.

“I hope that the approved and planned development projects will benefit the villagers and increase their income in the near future,” he said.

Abdul Karim uttered this while speaking at the Hari Gawai Dayak 2024 celebration for Asajaya district recently.
