KUCHING: Swift response by Bomba personnel quelled a rooftop fire that broke out early this morning at a building in MJC Batu Kawa, here.
The fire, reported at 7.16 am, prompted firefighters from the Batu Lintang station who were assisted by their counterparts from Tabuan Jaya, to act fast.
The fire originated on the fifth floor, specifically in the water tank storage area. Firefighters quickly used two nozzles and a cooling technique to prevent the fire from spreading.
The firefighting efforts continued with an overhaul process to ensure all sources of the fire were completely extinguished with no casualties reported.
The operation ended at 8.44 am.
The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
