KUCHING: The participation of Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM) Young Souls in the Sarawak Media Conference (SMeC) 2024 highlights the youth’s commitment to Sarawak’s future.

In stating, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information, and UKAS) Datuk Abdullah Saidol said that the inaugural SMeC 2024 has shown a success in its organisation.

“This is the result of the collective efforts of various stakeholders, particularly the youth who volunteered throughout the conference.

“Certainly, SMeC 2024 can be deemed a success, and this somewhat reflects the involvement of all of the volunteers, especially the AZAM Young Souls for this programme,” he said.

He said this during the AZAM Young Souls Appreciation Dinner at Star on Stage here on Friday.

He also said that the youth participation in organising and making a success for the programme was indeed an important task to handle.

“This success might set a benchmark for larger-scale events in the future, as it has been announced by the Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to be an annual event.
