KUCHING: Blog writer Nehru Sathiamoorthy and the associated news portal are urged to stop making or publishing provocative articles.

In making this call, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief Datuk Idris Buang said that the matter concerned is now in the hands of the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to investigate.

“We have chosen not to respond directly to your statements as the matter is now in the hands of the police and the MCMC.

“All you need to do is, answer the authorities on your intention and purpose of putting up such offensive and malicious contents as you did,” he said.
He said this in a press statement regarding the recent articles written by Nehru, published on several news platforms.
The first article titled: “When will Abang Jo’s luck run out?” was published on news aggregator platform Newswav, the second titled: “Opinion: A challenge to you Abang Jo, if you are as great as you think you are,” was published in Malaysia Today while the third article titled: “RM2k legal fee is all I can afford, if Abang Jo wants to nail me beyond, he can just throw me in jail,” was published on Focus Malaysia.
Idris also said that should there be any criminal prosecution of the writer and those behind the news portal, he strongly advocated for the proceedings to be held in Sarawak.
“We in Sarawak would very much that it be held in Sarawak where the police reports were mostly made.

“At least we can get to know “you all face to face”,” he added.
