PADAWAN: A local man sustained a leg injury following an accident near the Mile 12 traffic light junction, Jalan Kuching-Serian this morning.
The accident happened around 2.50 am when the victim’s motorcycle skidded and fell into a ditch by the road.
Firefighters from Siburan station were dispatched to the scene, about 16km away, after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, they found the 31-year-old rider lying by the creek and used a stretcher to carry him to the roadside for examination.
The victim, who sustained an injury on his left leg, received preliminary treatment on-site before being taken to the hospital for further medical treatment.
