SRI AMAN: Local Resident Mahra Salleh urged the community to continue maintaining the unity that has long been established in the area.
He said unity and cohesion within the community are key to success, particularly in the development of Sri Aman, asserting that the people in the area need to trust their leaders to plan and implement development projects.
“Do not to compare the development agencies in Sri Aman with those in other divisions, as our team has its own plans based on existing strengths and specific development needs.
“We are also open to receiving any suggestions and input from any party regarding planning in the Sri Aman Division.
“The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) can plan developments according to their needs and apply to the government following the correct procedures and specifications,” he said during the ‘Jiwa Madani Sembang Santai’ programme at Kampung Pangkat, Stumbin here recently.
Mahra, who is also a member of the Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) Steering Committee, said the committee has approved funding to conduct a study in the rice granary areas of the Sri Aman Division titled ‘Greater Together: Mapping of Paddy Production Ecosystem in Batang Lupar Granary Area,’ which will cover six areas, namely Stumbin, Bijat, Gran, Entulang, Seduku, and Lingga-Banting.
Mahra reported for duty as the Sri Aman Resident on June 10.
