MIRI: The Dynasty Hotel Miri is excited to announce its 20th Anniversary Charity Half Marathon, set to take place on Sept 22.
This event is expected to draw 1,500 participants and will feature races across multiple categories, including a 21km half marathon, 10km run, and a 4km fun run.
The event will commence at the hotel with assembly times set for 3.30am for the 21km race, and 5.45am for the 10km and 4km races. The flag-off times are scheduled for 4am for the 21km race, 6.15am for the 10km race, and 6.20am for the 4km race.
Participants will compete in various categories such as Men and Women Open for the 21km and 10km races, Men and Women Veteran category for the 21km run, as well as a Fun Run category for the 4km race.
Participants will have the chance to win cash prizes totalling over RM29,200.
Early bird registration, which offers discounted fees, is available until July 15. The early bird registration fees are RM90 for the 21km race, RM65 for the 10km race, and RM55 for the 4km Fun Run.
Regular registration rates apply from July 16 to Aug 15, with fees set at RM110 for the 21km race, RM75 for the 10km race, and RM65 for the 4km Fun Run.
The registration fees include a branded second skin running T-shirt, finisher medal, finisher T-shirt (for 21km runners), bib number, e-certificate, and door gifts.
Proceeds from the event will support the Dynasty Hotel Charity Fund, which organises annual festivals and charity giveaways.
Beneficiaries include the Chinese New Year Charity Goodies Giveaway, Gawai Goodies Charity Giveaway, Hari Raya Goodies Charity Giveaway, and other assistance programmes for families in need.
