LIMBANG: Educating children is essential for developing experts and skilled workers in Sarawak to support the state’s rapid growth.
According to federal Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, the natural resources in Sarawak need to be harnessed by local children as the workforce to implement the development agenda outlined by the government.
“What is important now, in this rapid change, is that we also need to develop our children to become the workforce that will implement all the government’s plans.
“Therefore, education is very important for our children for their future in producing skilled labour and experts in the industries in Sarawak,” he said.
He said this when speaking at the ‘Ngabang Gawai’ at Rumah Sintau Kampung Lubok Kepayang here recently.
Hasbi, who is also the Limbang MP, added that unity among the community is also important in carrying out development.
“We live in Sarawak in a peaceful and prosperous environment, the people live in unity and mutual respect for one another.
“All of this will be taken into account, making it easier for our government to implement its development plans,” he added.
