MIRI: 38 individuals, including Honorary Wildlife Rangers (HWR) appointed since 2009 and Wildlife Guardian Rangers (WGR), have completed an intensive training program in Miri.
Sarawak Forestry Cooperation (SFC) shared a Facebook post highlighting that the training aims to engage the local community in efforts to protect and conserve Sarawak’s biodiversity.
“This initiative aligns with the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS2030), which prioritizes wildlife protection and the preservation of fully protected areas,” the post stated.
The objective of the training is to provide local communities with knowledge about wildlife conservation and protection, ensuring the sustainable utilization of natural resources.
The training ceremony was officiated by Abang Arabi Abang Aimran, the Chief Executive Officer of SFC, and attended by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Japanie Bujang, along with other distinguished guests.
