BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, hosted an appreciation dinner last night (June 24) at Tarindak D’Seni in conjunction with their official work visit to Brunei Darussalam.
Accompanying Wan Junaidi and his wife were Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, and his wife, Dato Dayang Morliah Datuk Awang Daud.
During the dinner, the Head of State warmly welcomed distinguished guests, including Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Datuk Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Daud and his wife, Datin Hajah Saidah Said.
Also in attendance to add to the festive atmosphere were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Datuk Seri Setia Awang Abu Bakar Apong and his wife, Datin Paduka Dayang Hajah Jahrah Mohamad, as well as Datuk Harun Abdul Majid and Datin Hajah Ainon Abdullah.
The dinner also honoured officials and staff members from the Malaysian Commission Office in Brunei Darussalam, who had been on duty for three days during Wan Junaidi’s official work visit.
The event concluded at approximately 10 pm, with Wan Junaidi and his wife departing the venue with their entourage.
Today (June 25), the Head of State and his entourage have a scheduled visit to the Brunei History Centre and an exploration of the Brunei River before returning to Kuching at 2:30 pm.
