LUNDU: A 14-year-old girl was among two people injured in a three-vehicle accident along Jalan Lundu-Bau today (June 26).
The accident, involving a Perodua Aruz, a Perodua Bezza and a lorry, happened at Bukit Meroyong at 6.15am.
Firefighters from the Lundu station were dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they found that the victims involved in the collision had been rescued out of the vehicles by members of the public.
The 55-year-old Aruz driver and his passenger, a teenage girl, sustained injuries and were taken to Lundu Hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the Bezza and lorry drivers, a 28-year-old man and a 36-year-old man, escaped unscathed in the accident.
The firefighters helped to conduct clean-up works to clear the accident debris before ending the operation.
