KUALA LUMPUR: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) Business School was recently appointed as the strategic partner for the National Training Week (NTW) 2024.
UNIMAS vice chancellor Professor Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit said the prestigious award was presented by the Federal Human Resource Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong and witnessed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the NTW 2024 closing ceremony.
He said the award is a testament to the unwavering commitment in delivering high quality education and training.
“Our dedicated faculty members and staff, interesting curriculum offered, and supportive participants have all played a crucial role in this achievement.
“We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to UNIMAS Business School chief executive officer Professor Dr Puah Chin Hong and team, our students, staff, and industry partners for their continuous support and hard work,” he said.
For the record, the NTW 2024 was organised by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Corporation under the Human Resources Ministry.
Among others, the programme aims to instil a culture of lifelong learning among Malaysians by offering opportunities for skill enhancement and education free of charge.
The programme encompasses five focus areas namely life skills, future skills, creativity and innovation, financial and sustainable development which were selected based on talent and industry needs in Malaysia.
