KUCHING: A blood donation drive organised by Ken’s Kitchen and the Kuching Love Book Association has attracted 32 participants on Tuesday (July 2), out of which 24 persons have passed the eligibility procedures to donate their blood.

Chai Wei Liang, the person in charge at Ken’s Kitchen, expressed gratitude to the Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank and the public for their support, which made the blood donation drive a success.

“Ken’s Kitchen upholds the spirit of helping others and has been organising charity events. It is also committed to promoting social development and employs children from the Salvation Army as intern to work in the company.

“The company often sponsored many food coupons to non-government organisations (NGOs) such as the Red Crescent Society Kuching Branch, Kuching Love Book Association and Borneo International School as lucky draw during charity run,” he said.

Since 2022, Ken’s Kitchen and the Kuching Love Book Association have been organising quarterly blood donation drives to fulfil their responsibilities as citizens and entrepreneurs by giving back to society.
