KUCHING: Bumiputera entrepreneurs must brace themselves for economic challenges to strengthen their economic standing and achieve their business goals.
Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil said entrepreneurs need to be resilient in overcoming challenges to enhance their performance and become innovative business leaders.
He stressed the importance of eliminating dependency on the government, as this reliance is a major reason why some entrepreneurs fall behind in development.
“Whether we serve in the public or private sector, we all face problems, and experience ups and downs in life is normal,” he said during the 18th anniversary celebration of Konsortium Bumi Consultants and Services (KBCS) Sdn Bhd at Imperial Hotel here yesterday (July 7).
On the same note, Penguang also encouraged entrepreneurs to adopt a positive attitude when faced with obstacles.
“In my view, challenges are essential because they provide us with the motivation to work harder and push ourselves to achieve extraordinary tasks,” he added.
Among those present were Deputy Minister of Education and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, Deputy Minister of International Trade, Industry, and Investment Sarawak Datuk Malcom Mussen Lamoh, advisor to Sarawak Science Research Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr Alfred Jabu Numpang and advisor in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030) Datuk Amar Jaul Samion.
