KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received a courtesy visit from a delegation of current and former Sarawak Senators at the Astana Negeri here today (July 9).
The delegation included Senators Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim, Susan Chemerai Anding, Michael Mujah Lihan, Robert Lau Hui Yew, Pele Peter Tinggom, Rita Sarimah Patrick Insol, as well as former Senators Datuk Dr. Zaiedi Suhaili and Datuk Paul Igai.
Ahmad said that the courtesy visit aimed to gain valuable insights from Wan Junaidi who is a former Dewan Negara President.
He stated this when met by reporters after the courtesy visit.
“Wan Junaidi is remarkable in sharing his wisdom, and so far, he has provided valuable insights on the direction he envisions for the progress of the Dewan Negara.
“That is why we brought the current senators to participate in this courtesy visit,” he said.
