KAPIT: Works Minister, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi called on the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to ensure its Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held periodically stating it is an important platform for academic assessment.
He stressed that maintaining the well-being of students requires strong relationships between schools and parents, which includes ensuring a conducive learning environment for children.
As such, he asserted that AGM of the PTA is highly important in setting future goals for the school.
“It serves not only as a platform for all parties to understand the academic progress, character development, and extracurricular activities or programmes carried out in schools, but also plays a crucial role in planning forward to realise dreams of shaping high-quality human capital,” he said in his Facebook post after being invited to officiate at the AGM of PIBG SMK Kapit No. 2 earlier in the day.
He congratulated the newly elected PTA exco team for the 2024-2026 term, and thanked the former exco team for their support and cooperation in improving the academic performance and well-being of students.
During the event, Alexander also handed over a donation totalling RM50,000 to the PTA.
“I hope that such close cooperation will continue to shape a generation that is outstanding, competitive, and morally upright,” he concluded.
