KUCHING: This year’s Rabies Vaccination Campaign organised by Boehringer Ingelheim will be held in Bau, Serian and Kota Samarahan on July 27 and 28.
“The ongoing effort aims to protect pets and communities from the threat of rabies.
“This year, 2,000 doses of rabies vaccine have been prepared for the campaign, with 600 doses allocated to each site and an additional 200 doses for Kota Samarahan,” Boehringer Ingelheim said in a press release.
Held simultaneously in Balai Raya Tondong (Bau), Multipurpose Hall SJK Chung Hua (Serian) and Unity Hall Stakan, Taman Samarindah (Kota Samarahan) on the two days from 8 am to 3 pm, the campaign will consist of various programmes including free anti-rabies vaccination for pet dogs and cats, licensing and microchipping services that are provided, free bandana for the pet dogs and cats upon completion of their rabies vaccination, and educational booth and rabies awareness leaflets.

Pet owners are also reminded of the safety of their beloved dogs and cats by vaccinating them against rabies annually.
