DEBAK: Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam expressed his congratulations on the excellent results of SMK Saribas in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination, which was announced on today (July 23).
The Saribas assemblyman expressed his pride when the only secondary school in his constituency managed to place itself in the third best position in Sarawak.
“I understand that SMK Saribas is ranked third out of 84 Form 6 centres throughout Sarawak, with an Average School Grade (GPS) of 3.25, an increase from the previous year.
“Congratulations to all who obtained excellent results, namely 23 candidates who scored a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00 and above.
“Congratulations to Dayang Nor Halyana Abang Mansor, Siti Hawa Abdul Kassim and Catherine Mundu Geruka, who obtained a perfect GPA of 4.00,” he said.
He also expressed his congratulations to the teachers of SMK Saribas who worked hard to ensure continued excellent achievements.
“This success is the result of the hard work of all, especially the teachers and students themselves who are committed to making something the best.
“I believe that many programmes planned at the school level have proven successful in their implementation.
“Accordingly, continue the programme in addition to improving the existing strategic plan.”
Razi also advised parents to continue to support the school’s efforts through active participation in the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG).
According to him, the contribution of parents is important to realise the outstanding achievements of children in academic results and aspects of student development.
During the announcement of STPM results, SMK Saribas was listed as the best three out of 16 STPM 2023 Form 6 centres.
