What to do, when a commitment is broken
After a promise, was first solemnly given
To come back instantly, with a good reason
For a debt that is due, for it’s repayment
Shall I chase, the reasons for his waverings
Or accept the borrower in his wanderings
Shall I salt up his self-inflicted injury
Or let his own guilt, sharpen his perjury
Why is the sincere lender, of good intention
Always left to feel, as the one who’s guilty
Where innocence, is overturned to naivety
To pay the price, and burden of the fallen
The price and burden, for that very first fall
When love was spurned, in that first garden
Ever since, all our touches were of the fallen
When all blossoms, will just wither, and fall
