KUCHING: Twelve schools in Meradong district received school shoes from Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii recently.

The shoes were distributed to SK Abang Amin, SJKC Kai Chung, SMK Kai Chung, SK Bandar Bintangor, SK St Augustine, SMK Bandar Bintangor, SJKC Ming Tee, SK Gemuan, SJKC Ming Lu, SJKC Ming Ching, SJKC Ming Daik, and SMK Meradong by Huang’s representative, Gung Chiu Kion, and staff from the Sarikei Parliamentary Constituency Service Centre.

“I always prioritise education,” said Huang, who is also Repok assemblyman and Sarikei MP.

“I am concerned about the needs of the people, especially students, and I will try my best to provide assistance.

“I will also help those, especially in order to reduce the financial burden of the parents,” he added.
Huang hoped that all students could enjoy a happy and conducive learning environment.

“We must help students have school bags, uniforms, and shoes so they need not make comparisons or worry about anything lacking,” he said.
