TANJUNG MANIS: A total of 1,000 people attended the Jiwa Madani Community Programme, which was held here on July 27 and 28.
Officiated by Tanjung Manis MP Yusuf Abd Wahab, the programme was organised in collaboration with the Madani community from Kpg Selalang and Kpg Belawai, which was also attended by the Sarawak Department of Information (JAPEN) director Helmy Hamid.
The activities included sales booths, dance aerobics, distribution of publications, colouring contests and ethnic costume competitions.
The highlight of the event was a fishing competition on the final day, with 300 participants vying for prizes totalling RM10,000.
The Jiwa Madani Community Programme is a JAPEN platform to engage with grassroots communities, disseminate government information, and promote government initiatives, including providing e-services to the public.
