KUALA LUMPUR: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has been honoured with the prestigious Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) Technology Leadership Award.

The accolade recognises his dedication, foresight, and exceptional leadership in advancing green efforts within Sarawak and beyond.

Abang Johari thanked MBOT for the recognition, attributing the award to the collective efforts of Sarawakians.

“I extend my highest appreciation and thanks to MBOT for granting this award, which is for the people of Sarawak.

“This is not an individual achievement but rather a collective effort for Sarawakians to adapt to and become acquainted with the latest technology,” he said.

He told the media this after attending the MBOT Experts Network in Technology, Innovation and Cooperative Event (ENTICE) at Le Meridien here today.

Abang Johari emphasised the importance of providing the right technological background and discipline for Sarawakians and Malaysians alike to keep pace with advancements such as artificial intelligence and alternative fuels.
