BINTULU: The Mobile Services 2 U (Mobile Services 2 U) Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bintulu Branch will set up an application counter for the Elderly Health Benefits (SCHB) scheme on Aug 7 to 9.

Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming said the counter was intended to help make it easier for the elderly to apply for the scheme.

The counter will open from 10am to 3pm, located at Bintulu SUPP Office, First Floor, No. 65, Pusat Komersial Bintulu Sentral.

“We encourage all eligible seniors to visit the counter to get help with their application.

“Don’t forget to bring your identity card when dealing at the counter,” he said at a press conference, Monday (Aug 5).

There are nine clinics in Bintulu Division appointed as panel clinics for the scheme: Columbia Asia Bintulu Hospital, Dr Yong Clinic, Kidurong Gateway Clinic, Dr Tang Dental Clinic, Dr Moh Dental Clinic, Dental Clinic Viva Sentral, PMG Dental Clinic Sdn Bhd, PMG Medical Clinic (Medan Jaya) Sdn Bhd and Wira Bintulu Health Clinic.

So far, a total of 75,137 senior citizens registered under the State Welfare Assistance Management (SWAM) and e-Kasih are eligible.

Among the eligibility criteria for SCHB are over 60 years of age, Malaysian citizen who holds a ‘K’ status identity card, monthly household income of RM7,000 and below and not receiving funding/protection for outpatient treatment from any other agency.
