KUCHING: A Korean Day charity sale was organised by Lodge International School’s Korean Club and Korean ICF (Lodge International Primary) here recently.

The main objective of the event this year was to give back to the local community here by conducting a charity sale.

The event concluded with 14 Korean students and their parents visiting Hope Place Kuching, a charitable organisation which helps the underserved community.

Lodge International School principal, Marcus Gatuman was also present during the visit.

Hope Place founder, Kelvin Wan, shared stories about people they help, how the organisation started and heartwarming antidotes with the visitors.

Gatuman later presented a donation of RM5,000 to the NGO.

“I am so proud of my school community for demonstrating compassion and empathy in supporting Hope Place to aid the needy. We hope to make this an annual practice among the students in our school,” he said.
