SIBU: In a spirited dialogue session held at Sibu My Centre here recently, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Adam Adli Abdul Halim, engaged with pickleball players from the Lanang Pickleball Club (LPC) and Iplay Swan Squad Pickleball Club (IPSSC).
The event, organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, provided a platform for local players to voice their aspirations and challenges in promoting the sport within the community.
Speaking at the dialogue session, Adam Adli emphasised the ministry’s commitment to fostering sports at the grassroots level.
He highlighted the growing popularity of pickleball in Malaysia and its potential to become a major recreational activity for people of all ages.
“Pickleball is not just a sport; it is a bridge that connects different generations and communities,” he stated, encouraging the local clubs to continue their efforts in popularising the game.
