SIBU: Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) will collaborate with Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana to organise the Sarawakku Reading Carnival at the Nanga Ngungun Multipurpose Hall, Kanowit, on Aug 17.

The event, kicking off at 8am, aims to cultivate a reading culture among Sarawakians.

“This carnival seeks to create a fun environment that encourages people of all ages to read and learn,” said the library in a statement.

Highlights include the ‘Reading with Leader’ session, where Anyi will share his favourite books.

A variety of activities, from children’s colouring competitions to adult workshops on hydroponics and crafts, will be offered.

Several government agencies and NGOs, including Spay Global, CIDB, EPF, MAKNA, and Universiti Teknologi Sarawak, will also participate.
