Breanna wins recognition as star achiever

Breanna Qing Jian Clayton, has earned national recognition as one of the top five National Stars Achievers in both the Martial Arts and Sports categories.

MIRI: Breanna Qing Jian Clayton, an 11-year-old student from SKJ(C) Chung Hua Krokop, has earned national recognition as one of the top five National Star Achievers in martial arts and sports.

Her remarkable achievements were celebrated during the Kids Got Talent Malaysia ceremony, held recently in Kuala Lumpur.

Active in karate and various sports, Breanna’s accolades are a result of her consistent performance over the past two years, from 2022 to 2024.

Since joining Doushinkan Karate Miri in September 2022, she has made a significant impact on the martial arts community.

Her journey in karate began with a bronze medal in her first Kata competition in December 2022.

Since then, Breanna has been a regular competitor, demonstrating her skills and determination.

Her most recent accomplishment was securing a silver medal in the Kata event for the 10-11 age group at the 23rd Milo Karate International Championship, held in Kuala Lumpur from June 28-30.

In 2023, Breanna was named Best Karateka at the Shitoryu Karate Championship in Sabah, where she triumphed in both the Kata and Kumite events for her age group.

Breanna’s talents extend beyond martial arts.

She is a gifted athlete, having won a gold medal in the high jump event during her school’s sports day last year, along with silver and bronze medals in running and relay events.

Her athletic prowess earned her the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Kokurikulum dan Sukan 2023 at her school.

Additionally, Breanna is an active member of her school’s basketball team and recently represented SKJ(C) Chung Hua Krokop in the MSSR basketball competition.

Breanna’s selection as one of the top five National Star Achievers for 2024 is a testament to her dedication and exceptional achievements.

The awards ceremony, which honored the talents of young Malaysians, featured over 300 nominees competing for this recognition.
