MIRI: Over 1,000 people from the construction industry and academia participated in a webinar on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hosted by Curtin University Malaysia recently.
This event, titled ‘Digitalisation and Smart Era: Surveying Disciplines’, was a collaborative effort by the Department of Built Environment at Curtin’s Faculty of Humanities and Health Sciences, in partnership with IJM IBS Sdn Bhd, Building Cost Information Services Malaysia (BCISM), and Curtin University in Australia.
The event featured four speakers who offered valuable insights into the latest digital technologies and practices revolutionising the construction sector.
“This webinar is crucial as it provides stakeholders with the opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and how they can enhance work efficiency,” said Dr Low Wai Wah, Head of Built Environment, Learning and Teaching Chair of the faculty.
“Emerging digital technologies are evolving traditional roles to more advanced levels, rather than rendering them obsolete.”
