KUCHING: The St. Joseph’s International School (SJIS) is celebrating the exceptional performance of its 2024 A-Level students in the recent Cambridge International AS examination (June 2024 series).
SJIS chief executive Christopher Chua said a 100 per cent pass rate was recorded among the students and this impressive result is attributed to the teachers’ commitment to the success of the students.
“The students’ remarkable achievements across all academic disciplines reflect their dedication, perseverance, and hard work.
“These results also highlight the unwavering support and guidance provided by the school’s dedicated teaching staff,” he said in a statement yesterday (Aug 15).
Meanwhile, SJIS principal Brother Robert Teoh said the rigorous academic standards and dynamic learning environment at SJIS are evident in this year’s results.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and look forward to their continued success in the upcoming A-Level examinations,” he said.
During the Cambridge International AS examination (June 2024 series), high achievers Aileen Natasha, Clovis Wong, and David Sim each secured 4 As in all their subjects.
Darrent Lim earned 3 As in all of his subjects. Shana Elizabeth Law received 3 As and 1 B, while Jonathan Kho and Kevin Ho both achieved 2 As and 2 Bs.
Half of the students in Chemistry, Physics, and Economics earned As in their exams, and 67 per cent of the students attained As in Biology.
In Mathematics, 60 per cent of the students achieved As, and every student in Information Technology received an A.
