KUCHING: Sarawak women’s tenpin bowling team are off to a strong start in the women’s doubles category, taking a commanding lead in the morning session of the first squad.

The dynamic duo of Nur Hazirah Ramli and Lavinia Jia Jie Kho delivered an impressive performance, garnering a combined score of 2,392 points, placing them well ahead of their competitors.

Melaka currently trail in second place with 2,168 points, followed by Selangor with 2,128 points.

In the men’s doubles category, Sarawak’s Eldred Yek Zhen Kho and Cornelius Aldhelm Sajat are holding a solid third place with a total of 2,198 points. Perak lead the pack with 2,294 points, closely followed by Johor at 2,225 points.

The second squad of the afternoon session is set to begin shortly, with Sarawak’s hopes resting on Ethan Damien Chen Ming Goh and Fan Yew Tsen in the men’s category.

Meanwhile, Andrea Tze Shuen Tan and Dayang Yumi Azree Abang Azman will represent the women’s team, aiming to continue the strong momentum established by their teammates earlier in the day.
