The bronze medal went to Johor, who overcame Terengganu 15-8.

In the men’s team trio category, the Federal Territories’ Abdul Hannan Hasan, Aiman Naqiuddin Zulkiflie, Mohamad Hafiz Roslan, and Muhammad Amirul Naim Fazly, secured the gold by defeating Terengganu 15-9.

The women’s team fours category was won by Selangor, who triumphed over Pahang 15-13. Sabah secured the bronze medal, defeating Kedah 10-7.

Sarawak head coach Nur Fithri Yaani Hamdin expressed her pleasant surprise at the bronze medal, particularly given Dayang Nur Alia’s relatively short training tenure.

“She has only been training for a little over two years, and to secure a bronze medal at this stage is truly remarkable. I believe she can achieve even more in the future,” she told reporters after the medal presentation at Sarawak Lawn Bowls Arena here today (Aug 16).

She added that Sarawak will regroup and come back stronger for the upcoming matches across all five events, which will commence tomorrow (Aug 17).
