MIRI: Deputy Minister of Health, Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni, has assured that the health and well-being of SUKMA athletes will be a top priority for the Sarawak organiser.

Lukanisman stated that the Health Task Force was fully prepared to support the athletes, ensuring that any sport-related injuries would be given immediate attention.

In the event of a health emergency, the task force is ready to provide priority treatment to the athletes.

“The Ministry of Health’s (MOH) static clinic, located at the Sports Village, is equipped to offer necessary medical care to athletes during the event. Should they require treatment afterwards, our medical personnel are on standby to assist,” he said.

Lukanisman made these remarks during his visit to the SUKMA Miri cluster at the Miri Indoor Stadium yesterday.

He added that the Miri Division Health Office is well-equipped to manage the health needs of over 1,000 SUKMA athletes currently here.
