KUCHING: Muhammad Luthfil Hasief Freddie and Aimy Nazurah Rais have become Sarawak’s hope for winning medals, thereby solidifying Sarawak’s position at the top of the Malaysia Games (SUKMA) this time.

This follows their qualification for the semi-finals in the BMX cycling race for their respective categories (men’s and women’s).

Taking place today (Monday), Luthfil will compete against 12 other participants in the semi-finals to secure a ticket to the final round.

Meanwhile, Aimy will need to give her best to defeat eight other competitors to secure a spot in the finals.

Today’s event will begin with a warm-up session, followed by the semi-final races before moving on to the final round.

The prize presentation ceremony will take place this afternoon, involving both the men’s and women’s categories.
