LUNDU: Both Sarawak B and Sarawak A women’s beach volleyball teams have successfully advanced to the quarterfinals in the ongoing 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA).
During the event, held at Union YES Retreat & Training Centre here, on Monday (Aug 19), Sarawak B showcased an impressive performance, defeating Pahang A with commanding scores of 21-9 and 21-15.
In contrast, Sarawak A faced a challenging match, narrowly losing to Selangor B with scores of 19-21 and 16-21.
Despite the loss, both Sarawak teams have earned their places in the quarterfinals, set to take place tomorrow (Tuesday, Aug 20).
Sarawak B will go up against Penang A, while Sarawak A will face Penang B.
A victory in these matches will secure a spot in the semifinals.
The players for Sarawak B are Eileen Tiang Qin Yan and Chong Yu En, while Sarawak A is represented by Alice Achoi and Stacy Usun Yesayah.
