MIRI: The Sarawak government, through the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR), has extended financial assistance to seven mission schools in the area.

During a modest ceremony at SK St Joseph on Friday (Aug 30), Minister of Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin presented a cheque totalling RM1,102,360.

The schools benefiting from this fund allocation are SK Good Shepherd in Marudi, which received RM100,000; SK RC Kubong in Limbang, granted RM150,000; SK St Anthony (M) in Bintulu, allocated RM250,000; and SK St Edmund in Limbang, receiving RM150,000.

Additionally, SK St Joseph in Miri was granted funding of RM102,360, SK St Pius in Long San, Baram, received RM150,000, and SMK St Joseph in Miri was awarded RM200,000.

These funds will be utilized to implement vital upgrades and enhancements to the schools’ facilities.
