DARO: The network coverage issues in the town are caused by CelcomDigi’s ongoing network integration and modernisation programme, which includes Mukah, Dalat, Balingian, Matu, and Daro.
Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad, today (Sept 1) shared a letter from CelcomDigi on his Facebook account, explaining the situation.
According to the letter, the network integration and modernisation programme is part of CelcomDigi’s efforts to merge and upgrade the network to meet Malaysia’s future connectivity needs.
This programme, the letter said, will be carried out in phases and is expected to significantly enhance the overall network experience across the country.
“Once the work is completed, customers will benefit from wider network coverage nationwide, with improved indoor coverage.
“Additionally, customers can expect “a high-quality and consistent network experience with faster speeds,” it said.
The letter noted that the integration and modernisation activities are scheduled from August 30 to September 6, 2024.
“We anticipate potential service disruptions during this period, and optimisation work will follow to improve overall network quality,” it said.
The programme will involve upgrading a total of 122 network sites from both Celcom and Digi in the affected areas.
