LUNDU: The Marine Education Camp for Sea Scouts proved to be a remarkable training platform for 76 enthusiastic scouts.

It was held at Sekolah Kebangsaan Telok Melano from Aug 29 to Sept 1, focusing on practical water activity skills and environmental conservation activities, emphasising practical learning and team-building.

The camp featured diverse activities including beach cleaning, snorkeling, kayaking, guided marine life tours, interactive lectures, practical boating sessions, and environmental conservation tasks.

The camp not only enhanced the scouts’ skills but also fostered camaraderie among different scouting troops, strengthening the scouting community.

As the event concluded, participants left with new skills, lasting memories, and new friendships.

Sarawak Chief Scout Commissioner, Captain Zainuddin Tan Sri Hamdan Sirat  encouraged participants to maximise their learning during the camp, stressing the importance of mastering sea scouting skills to earn prestigious recognition and proficiency badges.
