BAU: A total of RM350,000 has been set aside for two projects under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) 2025 to enhance facilities in Kampung Pengkalan Bau.

Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Henry Harry Jinep announced that RM200,000 of the grant will be used to construct a new multipurpose hall, while RM150,000 will go towards building a new futsal and sepak takraw court.

“The development of these new facilities is part of a short-term strategy aligned with the earlier request to the state government,” he said.

He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Novice Sepak Takraw League Championship in Kampung Pengkalan Bau recently.

Henry, who is the Tasik Biru assemblyman, also proposed the construction of a new road in the area for long-term planning.

He said the new road will connect to the main road, offering residents a direct route to Bau town, and expressed hope that landowners will agree to provide their land for this purpose.
