SINGER Alif Satar, who is set to start his Islamic travel programme “Beyond Borders Kita Sama” soon, has already made plans to interview two internationally renowned figures for the show.
In a recent interview with the media, Alif said that they are French football legend Zinedine Zidane and British singer Yusuf Islam, formerly Cat Stevens.
“In my new programme, I interview well-known Muslim figures of international stature. Zidane and Yusuf are the first two whom I have had in mind from the start,” he said.
“And when the producers told me that I could interview them, I was so excited,” Aziz said.
Asked about the topics he would discuss with Zidane and Yusuf, Alif said that they would talk about their life journeys as Muslims living in Europe.
“I want to know how they uphold Islamic teachings in their lives when faced with rampant Islamophobia across Europe these days,” he said.
Meanwhile, Alif’s “Beyond Borders Kita Sama Concert,” which will feature Alif and his band The Locos as well as Nasyid stars Raihan, will be held in Paris on October 6, followed by London on October 11.
Alif said that London and Paris were his favourite cities in Europe, as they were rich in history, culture and music.
“In Paris, I will perform on a cruise ship across the Seine,” he said.
