Stroke patient receives wheelchair to ease mobility

SIBU: In line with a caring society, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan Branch Community Development team has delivered a wheelchair to stroke patient Bunsu Lasa at Rumah Raymond Sebastian here today (Sept 4).

Bunsu had been admitted to Sibu Hospital due to stroke.

According to the team leader Councillor Kevin Lau Kor Jie, a family member asked one of the team members Councillor Jeksen Chuban for help.

Jeksen proposed the assistance to the team and it was approved.

“We got to understand that Bunsu faces difficulties with mobility between home and Sibu Hospital due to his stroke.

“We hope that with the wheelchair, we can ease the burden and provide some convenience to the family members,” he said.

Lau, who is also Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC) Environment and Public Standing Committee chairman said the team prayed for Bunsu’s speedy recovery.
