KUCHING: A total of RM88,840 has been spent on new tables, chairs and cabinets, now in use at the teachers’ office of SK St Thomas, following a recent contribution to upgrade the office’s facilities.
According to Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen, the previous office equipment was in an unsatisfactory condition.
“Therefore, my office allocated funds to the school to upgrade the teachers’ office to ensure the comfort of the staff and to provide a safe place for storing important documents.
“It is undeniable that the needs for school facilities are often insufficient, but we will make every effort to meet the school’s requirements,” he said in his official Facebook post on Wednesday (Sept 4).
With the contributions, Dr Yii expressed his hope that it will provide comfort to both students and teachers at the school, ensuring their safety is guaranteed.
