BINTULU: A local man sustained injuries after his trailer lorry skidded off the Bintulu-Miri Pan Borneo Highway and plunged into a ravine near SK Kem Batu 18, yesterday (Sept 11).
Firefighters from Bintulu station were dispatched to the scene, about 54km away, after receiving a distress call at 5.32 pm.
They managed to extricate the injured driver from the vehicle and provided initial treatment on-site.
The extent of his injuries was not known, and he was later handed over to paramedics to be transported to the hospital.
