KUCHING: The Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) today (Sept 12) awarded grants to two mission schools in Batu Kitang.

The grants were presented by Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang, underscoring UNIFOR’s steadfast commitment to enhancing educational facilities.

“The grants, presented via UNIFOR cheques, comprise RM110,000 for Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) St David in Kampung Bumbok, Jalan Batu Kitang.

“Additionally, RM138,000 was allocated to SK Sacred Heart in Kampung Semeba off Jalan Datuk Stephen Yong, Kuching.

“These grants will greatly contribute to the schools’ development, creating improved learning environments for students and securing a brighter future for the community,” he stated.

This grant presentation distinctly showcases the government’s commitment to enhancing educational standards and supporting mission schools in the area.
