KUCHING: The Sarawak Para SUKMA Badminton Team engaged in a friendly match against the Attapers Club at the Kampung Semeba Multi-Purpose Hall in Kuching today as part of their preparations for the Para SUKMA XXI 2024 Games, slated to be held in Sarawak from September 23 to September 27.
This match marks one of the pivotal steps in their meticulous preparations to ensure that the Sarawak Para SUKMA athletes are in peak condition.
Suhaili Liman, the Head Coach of the Sarawak Para SUKMA Badminton Team, expressed optimism regarding his team’s capability to secure three gold medals in this year’s games.
“After observing the positive strides and unwavering determination displayed by the players during training and these friendly matches, we are aiming for three gold medals across various categories,” stated Suhaili after the match.
Suhaili highlighted that this friendly encounter not only allowed the players to refine their skills but also bolstered their confidence for the upcoming competition.
“Moreover, the match served as a platform to pinpoint any weaknesses that require attention before the Para SUKMA Games,” he remarked.
