KUCHING: Calling all individuals, aged 18 years and above, to bleed for a good cause as Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS) hosts blood donation drive in conjunction with its Community Wellness Day.
Aimed to promote health and wellness within the local community while also providing an opportunity for members of the public to contribute to a vital cause, TEGAS stated that the event will take place on Sept 17 from 9 am to 1 pm at TEGAS Digital Village here.
“This Blood Donation Drive is organised in collaboration with the Blood Bank from Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), and is an initiative to support local hospitals by boosting blood supply.
“Qualified donors will receive a small goodie bag for their contributions,” it said.
Aside from the main event, it stated that the TEGAS Community Wellness Day will also feature a variety of health and wellness activities in collaboration with SGH Organ Procurement Unit, Alpro Pharmacy, TAGS Spine & Joint Specialists, Teduh Jiwa, and other community-focused organisations.
“These activities aim to promote health and wellness while offering a meaningful platform for the public to contribute to a life-saving cause including Free Health Screenings; Wellness Talk; and Healthy Lifestyle Workshops.
“This initiative aligns with TEGAS’ broader vision of fostering a healthy, innovative, and thriving community, supporting Sarawak’s Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030.
“Therefore, those who are interested may register themselves at http://linktr.ee/tegas.facility.” it said.
